Biography

Warden Prescott PhD LMSW is a New York State licensed social worker and candidate in New York University’s Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis. Prior to the pandemic, he was an adjunct professor of philosophy at Syracuse University and a lecturer in bioethics & humanities at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He provides in-depth psychological treatment to adults utilizing broadly psychodynamic and psychoanalytic perspectives, carefully informed by current cognitive and dialectical behavioral methods.
Dr. Prescott seeks to work with each patient from where they truly are in life, no matter how difficult. He specializes in dissociative and trauma-related disorders and has experience working with combat veterans, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and victims of violent crime. He is also well-versed in most of the world’s major cultural and religious traditions — both Eastern and Western — and adept at bridging cultural and intellectual divides.
