Prior to the pandemic, he was an adjunct professor of philosophy at Syracuse University and a lecturer in bioethics & humanities at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He provides in-depth psychological treatment to adults utilizing broadly psychodynamic and psychoanalytic perspectives, carefully informed by current cognitive and dialectical behavioral methods.

He specializes in dissociative and trauma-related disorders and has experience working with combat veterans, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and victims of violent crime. He is also well-versed in most of the world’s major cultural and religious traditions — both Eastern and Western — and adept at bridging cultural and intellectual divides.
