Dr. Jodi Licht holds an undergraduate degree in human development from Cornell University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University. She received additional Postdoctoral Training in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy at the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University.
During her graduate training and beyond, Dr. Licht has worked at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, Mount Sinai Crisis Intervention Program, Georgetown University Counseling Center and the Superior Courts of the District of Columbia. Additionally, she has spent a great deal of time working in college counseling, as the Director of Counseling and Career Services at SUNY College at Old Westbury, and the Senior Director of Counseling and Accessibility Services at LIM College. In her private practice, Dr. Licht works within a psychodynamic and relational framework and approaches clients with an accepting, empathic and nonjudgmental style to facilitate the process of healing. She is an experienced psychologist and is comfortable in individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. She works with adults throughout the lifecycle.
